Mehmet Haberal, founding president of Bashkent University and honorary professor of Azerbaijan Medical University, was elected president of the society at the World Transplantation Society (TTS) congress held in Madrid.

The famous scientist, who served as the president of the World Burn Society (ISBI) in 2004-2008, is the only specialist in the world who has achieved success. We also rejoice at the success of Mehmet Haberal, a great supporter of Azerbaijan, and congratulate him. We hope that the election of the president of this society, which is responsible for organ transplantation in the world, will stimulate the development of this field in the world, as well as in Azerbaijan.
